Machame route is the best route in Kilimanjaro Mountain, Most of the clients choose this as for hiking trail. Machame is the village of the Chagga people surrounding this national park. It will take us 1 hour from Moshi and 1 hour to 30min from Arusha to reach Machame gate.
A nickname for this route is whiskey route, why? Compared to the Marangu route, this route offers a wide variety of landscapes, views, and experiences. The weather and vegetation of this route are so friendly and tough you experience after finishing your adventures you can feel like you are drinking a shorts of whiskey in your body. This trail offers tent accommodation at each camp. The minimum days its six days and the maximum days its seven days, depending on what you like to choose, and success in reaching the top its 88%.
Upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA) or Arusha Airport, a representative from Banziadventure will greet you and drive you to your pre-booked hotel. After a few hours to shower and rest, there will be a full briefing on the hike, including route details, gear usage, packing tips, and a first aid checklist.
After breakfast, your guides will pick you up from the hotel and drive to Machame Gate (1800m a.s.l.). After obtaining permits, the hike to Machame Camp (2835m a.s.l.) begins through a beautiful forest zone with diverse flora and fauna. Dinner and a health check-up follow at Machame Camp.
Wake up with a morning call (coffee or tea) before breakfast. Hike through the heather and moorland zone to Shira Cave (3750m a.s.l.) where you will have hot lunch. An afternoon acclimatization walk to nearby landmarks follows before dinner.
Acclimatization day with a hike to Lava Tower (4600m a.s.l.) followed by a descent to Barranco Camp (3950m a.s.l.). This aids in acclimatization.
Morning wake-up call with tea or coffee followed by breakfast. Climb the Barranco Wall and hike to Karanga Camp for lunch. After lunch, continue to Barafu Camp.
Summit day begins around midnight with an ascent to Uhuru Peak (5895m a.s.l.), followed by a descent to Mweka Camp (3100m a.s.l.) for rest.
After breakfast, descend to Mweka Gate to receive your Golden Certificate. A farewell ceremony follows before the transfer back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha.
